Privacy Policy

Random Creative Sparks ("RCS"), a creative imprint of OwlTree Consulting ("we", "us"), is a small independent project that publishes illustrated short stories for kids, teens, and adults. This page explains what information we collect when you visit this site — and more importantly, what we don't.

Information we collect

This site is read-only. We don't ask you to create an account, log in, comment, sign a newsletter, or submit any information of any kind. When you load a page, your browser shares standard request data with our hosting provider — IP address, browser type, time of request, and which page you visited. We use this only to keep the site running and don't link it to you personally.

If you click an embedded YouTube video, you're loading a frame served by YouTube/Google, whose own privacy policy then applies. The same is true for any Instagram embeds. We don't see or store anything those services collect about you.

We do not currently use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. If we ever add analytics in the future, we will update this page and tell you here before turning it on.

Information we don't collect

We don't ask for your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, or any other personal information. We don't run user accounts, comments, forms, newsletters, or chat features. We don't sell, rent, or share information about visitors — because we don't collect any in the first place.

Children's privacy (COPPA)

Our kids tier is written for children ages 3–8, but the site itself is designed to be browsed by parents and caregivers, with the child as the listener or viewer. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. There are no signup forms, account-creation flows, comment sections, or any other mechanism on this site for a child to submit personal information.

If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us at the address below and we will delete it immediately.

Cookies

This site may use essential session cookies provided by our hosting platform to keep the site functioning correctly. These are not used for tracking or advertising.

Third-party services

Embedded videos are served by YouTube/Google. Embedded social posts are served by Instagram/Meta. When you interact with those embeds, the policies of those services apply, and we don't control what they collect. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies directly if you have concerns.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (EU/UK under GDPR, California under CCPA/CPRA, Quebec under Law 25, etc.), you may have specific rights to access, correct, or delete personal information held about you. Since we don't collect personal information from visitors, there is generally nothing for us to provide or delete. If you have a concern, please contact us.

Data security

Content is served via our hosting provider's CDN. Because we don't collect personal information, we don't store any sensitive information about visitors on our systems.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
